Happy Camper

Hi everyone,
I have lots of news to share. First, I am very happy to say that Stacey Brady is back. I started following her Blog a couple of years ago, but.....you can read her story for your self. OMG, I love her cards, and her use of color. Please check out her blog.

Next is the fact that I am a little out of sorts. When I first started scrapbooking, I just put everything in my office. When I out grew that, I set up my undeveloped basement to scrap in and hold crops. As you can see in the photo I have a great space to work in. These tables never look this clean, (and don't usually have food on them) but I was having some ladies over for a "How To Digital", that's why there is a large TV on my Cuttle bug work area. I love having room when I work, lots of it. When no one else is here I use every inch of these tables to create.

My scrapbook room has no electrical outlets, so I have extension cords every where.  I've had the plans for where I want the lights, switches, TV and phone jacks for years.  I found out last weekend that in the next couple of weeks he will be here.  If your wondering why the timing is up in the air, its because my husband did some work for him, no charge, and now he has time to do work for us, no charge.  We will have to supply the lighting fixtures and maybe some other items, but I am a Happy Camper. So this week I started packing my supplies slowly, planning on moving some of my stuff back to the office so that I can still make cards.  However this morning I found out that he is coming this weekend.  Ahhh, mad rush to get things cleaned up.  I have a Mojo Monday card to complete (Done) as well as not one, not two but three B-Day cards.  All of the furniture has to be taken away from the walls every where.  So this morning, I packed quickly what I thought I would need to make the cards.  Stamps, copics, paper, cricut, cuttle bug.......how do you choose what to bring and what not to bring?.......that's why I have such a hard time getting ready to go to crops.  Then I packed up most of my paper into 12x12 containers that I have for sale (didn't think I needed them).  That was enough packing for today.
I then got started on my Mojo Monday 236. As soon as I saw this layout I knew exactly what I wanted to do. It turned out just the way I saw it in my head.

I have been wanting to go camping for a couple of weeks now, but the weather hasn't co-operated, and now because I am very happy to get electricity to my scrap room, I thought that this would be perfect.
I know that this blog has been very long, but I just needed to share my excitement. Thanks.

Stuff I used on this card is:
Paper from Forever in Time "Woodlands", from g c d studios "Picnic Table" and some green left over card stock.
Cricut and cartridge Plantin School Book.
MFT stamp "Fred Bear Goes Camping"
Memento Ink in Black and Brown
   Copics - 0Blender, YG11, YG17, E00, E31, E33, E34, E37, E47, E55, E57. Lots of Browns.
Pop Dots and scissors to cut out Fred Bear.

Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time,
Stacey
