Something New

I Have a New Laptop! Finally. I have needed one for a while, and also a new printer.....its wireless!! I'm not sure why I didn't get one sooner. I love the freedom to just print anywhere from my house....I have been really busy this summer and have not really been able to spend much time crafting. At least its been a nice summer, other than the wrong turn at Albuquerque.......right KL?? The only thing I have been working on is some digital stuff. So here is the new page that I used for FB. Hope you like it and find it inspiring, as the scrapbook season is about to begin....

Happy Scrapping,
until next time.....
hopefully that won't be too long,
Stacey

You Deserve A Break

We all know teachers, we know our kids.......enough said! I had big plans for teacher gifts.....then I got a job. So I hope they like gift cards....I know thats not the best gift, but a movie pass and some tea should help them relax. The job is another reason why I haven't posted any thing in a while. I have been making cards though, I have only posted a couple of my favorites below. I don't have time to list all the supplies for the cards, but I know you crafty people will be able to recognize most of the products.

This card was made using Mojo Monday 247

This was another card I made using a Mojo Monday 238 template. I love how this one turned out!

And last but definately not least.....I made this card for my nefew's birthday. In May he became an official teenager. And if you can't tell, yes he likes football, thus the theme. I used Mojo Monday 240 for this card.

Oh, and for those of you who have read earlier posts, if you notice the stiching on this card.....yes I got a new sewing machine.  Happy Mothers day and Birthday to me! This stitching went perfect with the foot ball theme. I really like my new machine....I may even sew on..... wait for it......fabric!!!

Until next time,

Stacey

Happy Camper

Hi everyone,
I have lots of news to share. First, I am very happy to say that Stacey Brady is back. I started following her Blog a couple of years ago, but.....you can read her story for your self. OMG, I love her cards, and her use of color. Please check out her blog.

Next is the fact that I am a little out of sorts. When I first started scrapbooking, I just put everything in my office. When I out grew that, I set up my undeveloped basement to scrap in and hold crops. As you can see in the photo I have a great space to work in. These tables never look this clean, (and don't usually have food on them) but I was having some ladies over for a "How To Digital", that's why there is a large TV on my Cuttle bug work area. I love having room when I work, lots of it. When no one else is here I use every inch of these tables to create.

My scrapbook room has no electrical outlets, so I have extension cords every where.  I've had the plans for where I want the lights, switches, TV and phone jacks for years.  I found out last weekend that in the next couple of weeks he will be here.  If your wondering why the timing is up in the air, its because my husband did some work for him, no charge, and now he has time to do work for us, no charge.  We will have to supply the lighting fixtures and maybe some other items, but I am a Happy Camper. So this week I started packing my supplies slowly, planning on moving some of my stuff back to the office so that I can still make cards.  However this morning I found out that he is coming this weekend.  Ahhh, mad rush to get things cleaned up.  I have a Mojo Monday card to complete (Done) as well as not one, not two but three B-Day cards.  All of the furniture has to be taken away from the walls every where.  So this morning, I packed quickly what I thought I would need to make the cards.  Stamps, copics, paper, cricut, cuttle bug.......how do you choose what to bring and what not to bring?.......that's why I have such a hard time getting ready to go to crops.  Then I packed up most of my paper into 12x12 containers that I have for sale (didn't think I needed them).  That was enough packing for today.
I then got started on my Mojo Monday 236. As soon as I saw this layout I knew exactly what I wanted to do. It turned out just the way I saw it in my head.

I have been wanting to go camping for a couple of weeks now, but the weather hasn't co-operated, and now because I am very happy to get electricity to my scrap room, I thought that this would be perfect.
I know that this blog has been very long, but I just needed to share my excitement. Thanks.

Stuff I used on this card is:
Paper from Forever in Time "Woodlands", from g c d studios "Picnic Table" and some green left over card stock.
Cricut and cartridge Plantin School Book.
MFT stamp "Fred Bear Goes Camping"
Memento Ink in Black and Brown
   Copics - 0Blender, YG11, YG17, E00, E31, E33, E34, E37, E47, E55, E57. Lots of Browns.
Pop Dots and scissors to cut out Fred Bear.

Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time,
Stacey

Not having that big list has probably helped with me actually finding time to get on my blog.  I have been making cards, just not posting them.

Christmas, any time of the year.

I know it's been a while since I posted anything,
but I have been busy.....making Christmas Cards,
along with the regular excuse of Life Happens.
I know its not the season, but you can never start to early.
My plan is to make lots of cards so that I can sell them at crops and craft fairs.
I have a couple more styles that I have not finished yet, but here are the ones that are done.
I have made several of each style.
These cards were made with inspiration from Cards made by my kids Music Teacher.

I haven't just been making Christmas cards. Here is a couple of others cards that I have made.

This one was made using Mojo Monday for a friends Birthday.

I made this one just because a friend asked for a cute card for her co-worker. I hope she'll like it.

Until next time,
Stacey

Believe

This Card was made by using Mojo Monday 222.
Their first template of the New Year.

I used paper from Bazzill Basics "Bouquet", also paper from "Forever in Time" Glitter double sided Card Stock, and Lavender and Blue Reflections Card Stock. I used Versa Magic "Purple Hydrangea" Chalk ink around the edges of the card and on the stamp "believe" from Close to My Heart "The Simple Things".  I also used my Creative Memories flower embellishments and my paper distresser on all of the paper. I like the touch of yellow added with thread and my sewing machine.  I hand cut out the Cuttle Bug embossed flourish. I also used copics Y15 to colour some little white brads yellow, I think that is my favourite thing about copics, you can colour almost everything to match anything.  I also added a medium size yellow brad to the Creative Memories flowers and the newly painted yellow brads to the little purple flowers .

On another note I hope every one had a safe and Happy New Year. We had a great time with family and friends during the Christmas week, and a very quiet New Year......just the way I like it.  My daughter has been helping me today stamp all of my new stamps that I have collected over the last couple of  months.  Thanks Punkin Pie! Once they are stamped on regular photo copy paper (3 times), it then goes into my binder. I give 2 of my friends a copy as well, and vise versa, that way if any one of us is looking for a stamp for a specific occasion, we can look through the binders and "borrow" the stamp set.  This is a great way to pool our resources, since we love to scrap together. We also use this sharing method with a lot of the other scrapbook supplies. I hope this little tid-bit is something that you and your friends can use if you don't already.

Thanks for stopping by,
Until next time,
Stacey
